Toronto FC midfielder Jonathan Osorio is on a contract year, and he could have options for next season.

The Homegrown player, who scored his first career brace in league play on Friday in TFC's 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union, is having a career year, winning the Concacaf Champions League golden boot this spring as that competition's top scorer and is currently just one goal short of his career high for single-season scoring in league play. He's also reportedly in the final year in his current contract with Toronto.

According to TSN announcer Luke Wileman during the broadcast of the game against Philadelphia, Osorio is drawing interest from beyond MLS.

"Understandably, there is interest in Jonathan Osorio from some clubs abroad," Wileman said in the first half of the game. "Europe, Mexico, potential destinations. Maybe he wants to stay as part of this Toronto FC team, where he's been for so long, in his hometown. But there will be options for Jonathan Osorio."

Osorio, 25, has played 152 MLS regular season games for TFC since signing in 2013, scoring 17 goals and 22 assists. In addition, he's played 12 MLS Cup Playoffs games, scoring two goals, and has played in the aforementioned CCL and the Canadian Championship. The Canadian international also has 20 caps for his country at senior level.
