An action-packed preseason continues to shape the Sporting Kansas City roster, as Brian Sciaretta of American Soccer Now reports that 18-year-old Homegrown defender Erik Palmer-Brown is headed to Europe.
A source within Sporting confirmed to MLSsoccer.com contributor Steve Brisendine that Palmer-Brown has left the team's preseason camp and additional details are expected to be released Monday. Additionally, a team spokesman told MLSsoccer.com that numerous foreign teams have inquired about Palmer-Brown in recent months.
Palmer-Brown, the youngest signing in SKC history, also holds a mark as the youngest player in MLS history (17 years, 24 days) to start a regular season match as a defender, doing so against the Chicago Fire on May 18, 2014. A US international at the Under-15, -17, -18 and -20 levels, Palmer-Brown appeared in seven games (376 minutes) for Sporting in 2015.
