Enner Valencia has been a mercurial yet talented South American striker for years – could his next destination be in MLS?

It's possible, according to Ecuadorian outlet Estadio, which reported on Tuesday that Valencia has traveled to the US with his representative ahead of his potential next move. According to the report, he is mulling multiple offers from MLS and China alike.

Valencia, 28, has been with Liga MX outfit Tigres UANL since last year, winning the 2017 Apertura league title there. Beginning his career at Ecuadorian powerhouse Emelec in 2010, he rose to prominence after moving to another Mexican side, Pachuca, in 2013. He earned a high-profile transfer to Premier League outfit West Ham United the next year, but struggled to find a consistent starting place amid a slew of manager changes and roster turnover. After spending the 2016-17 season on loan at Everton, he moved back to the Americas to play for Tigres.

The striker is also the sixth highest scorer in Ecuador national team history, and is only 10 goals from the all-time leader in that category. He played in the 2014 World Cup for La Tri.
