Jesus Ferreira scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season in the second half, Brandon Servania's thunderbolt provided a lifeline just before the break, and FC Dallas rallied to a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night at Toyota Stadium.
Servania also recorded an assist on Ferreira's second of the evening, an 89th-minute strike on the counter to put the game away and stretch Dallas' unbeaten run to four matches.
Maarten Paes made five saves in what finished as a deceptively comfortable third home win in four tries for first-year coach Nico Estevez.
Diego Rubio scored his third goal of the year for Colorado, which was easily the better side for the opening 45 minutes.
But the Rapids had to settle for a level score at halftime after Servania's golazo, and would ultimately leave North Texas with their first loss since a 3-0 defeat at LAFC in Week 1.

- THE BIG PICTURE: Colorado may have deserved better after outshooting Dallas 16-7 and out-creating them in expected goals 1.9 to 1.3. But the Rapids will still be encouraged that Rubio is showing signs he could be the double-digit scorer they lacked a season ago. The Chilean has scored in half of his six appearances and is well on pace to surpass his 11-goal career-high from 2019 if he remains healthy and in the team. FCD appear to be a legitimate contender. They are unbeaten in their last four games (3W 1D) and sit fourth in the Western Conference standings with 11 points.
- MOMENT OF THE MATCH: Dallas looked wobbly and like they would be thankful to get into halftime only trailing by one following a first 45 minutes the visitors primarily controlled. Then, Servania went and did this for his third career MLS goal and first since 2019:
- MAN OF THE MATCH: Jesus Ferreira. Servania turned the game around, but it was Ferreira who saw it off with a pair of really classy finishes. His second in the 89th was Dallas' fourth goal scored after the 75th minute out of 10 overall this campaign. His brace continued to make his case as the top striker in the US men's national team pool after he played 120 minutes and scored a goal in March World Cup Qualifiers.
