In a close race between Jeff Attinella and David Horst, it was the Real Salt Lake goalkeeper who claimed the Week 11 Save of the Week award by a narrow margin.
Attinella beat Horst for the honor by less than five percent, winning with the double save he pulled off in the second half of RSL's 2-1 win vs. the Colorado Rapids this past Saturday. Attinella started the impressive sequence by blocking a hard Kamani Hill shot before stopping the follow-up from a close but tight angle from Dillon Serna.
Attinella is now the second Real Salt Lake player to win the Save of the Week award in 2014. Nick Rimando, who was named to the USA World Cup roster, was the other, claiming the Week 1 and Week 2 awards.
