Jeff Attinella might not have prevented the Seattle Sounders from posting a 4-0 romp in Week 13, but he did make an eye-opening save on Obafemi Martins that won the Save of the Week award.
Attinella earned the honors for the second time this season for his late denial of a Martins' shot that appeared headed just inside the left post. The Real Salt Lake goalkeeper collected almost 40 percent of the vote, which was enough to see off Corey Ashe's sliding goal-line clearance in the Houston Dynamo's 3-0 defeat to the Colorado Rapids.
While the accolade was Attinella's second this season, it was the fourth that a member of RSL claimed in 2014. Real Salt Lake's regular starting netminder Nick Rimando won the award back in Week 1 and 2.
