In one of the tightest races of the season to date, Real Salt Lake rookie Homegrown Corey Baird is the winner of the Week 11 AT&T Goal of the Week award, edging out Minnesota United star Christian Ramirez.
Baird’s diving header vs. D.C. United, the equalizer in what turned out to be a hard-fought 3-2 win for RSL, garnered 34 percent of this week’s vote, narrowly outpacing the 31 percent earned by Ramirez’s ingenious first-time finish vs. San Jose.
Sporting Kansas City’s Daniel Salloi was not far behind in third place, his low strike in SKC’s 2-0 road win over league leaders Atlanta United taking 21 percent of ballots cast.
Finishing in fourth place was FC Dallas’ Maxi Urruti (12%), followed by Columbus Crew SC’s Gyasi Zardes (2%).
