The rise of Tyler Adams continues.
The 21-year-old RB Leipzig man and former New York Red Bulls star Homegrown product made his UEFA Champions League debut on Tuesday, coming on as a second-half substitute in RB Leipzig's 3-0 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur that sent them through to the quarterfinals on a 4-0 aggregate victory in the Round of 16.
Adams entered the match in the 56th minute and put in a solid shift while helping his club see out the match, making some history as he did so as the 10th American player ever to play in the UCL knockout stage.
It was a historic day for the club as a whole, as this marks the first time RB Leipzig have advanced through to the UCL quarterfinals, topping a Tottenham side that, while admittedly underwhelming in English Premier League play this year, made it to last year's Champions League final.
With Adams fully fit again and RB Leipzig advancing, Tuesday's cameo is unlikely to be his last participation in this year's competition.
