TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
Orlando City SC officially added veteran goalkeeper Brian Rowe to their roster on Friday, adding an experienced set of hands to their goalkeeping corps. The 30-year-old has been with the Lions for much of their preseason, logging regular minutes in goal.
“Brian is a guy that brings a tremendous amount of experience to our team, and we are thrilled to welcome him officially to the Club.” said Orlando EVP of Soccer Operations Luiz Muzzi in a club release.
Rowe enters his eighth season in MLS in 2019, after beginning his career with the LA Galaxy in 2012. Rowe had a breakout campaign in 2016 with the Galaxy where he recorded 31 appearances, nine shutouts and a 1.07 goals-against average en route to the MLS Cup Playoffs, allowing the fewest goals (33) in MLS by any goalkeeper that appeared in a minimum of 30 matches
After the 2017 season, Rowe was traded to the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he appeared in 10 matches last year. Rowe has appeared in 69 career MLS regular-season matches, recording 16 shutouts.
