Orlando City SC head coach Adrian Heath reflected on the Lionsâ first season in MLS in a lengthy Q&A with the Orlando Sentinelâs Paul Tenorio published on Tuesday, sharing his thoughts on the clubâs adjustment to a new league, his hopes for next year and his feelings about a certain US international.
Heath spoke in depth about Orlando defender/midfielder Brek Shea, praising the versatile 25-year-old following his solid â if slightly injury-marred â 2015.
"When heâs healthy he makes a difference from anywhere he plays because of just his physical attributes,â Heath said. "You donât get people his size being as athletic and as good a footballer. I donât think people realize how good a footballer he is.
"What weâve got to do now is hopefully he gets some time off during the [winter] to recharge, get ready and come in and have a great preseason,â continued Heath. "I still think heâs about 70 percent. I think we can get him up to 90, 95 percent and if he does, heâll be one of the best players in the league."
