After working his way back from a calf injury, Frank Lampard has now scored a goal in each of his two 2016 starts for New York City FC.
Last week's strike opened the scoring for NYCFC on their way to a 3-2 win and this week he netted the game-winner in the 38th-minute against Seattle Sounders FC for a massive away win and a league-best fourth road win of the season.
But Saturday's goal at CenturyLink also came with a little controversy:
That's one we're going to be chatting about all weekend. Ruling on the field – after much conferring – was that the goal stood, and NYC closed out the win with Ronald Matarrita's tally in the 87th.
