Decision Day presented by AT&T is nearly here, and with plenty to play for on the final day of the MLS regular season, teams across the league are looking to finish strong.
There's plenty of injury news, some good, some not as good, for Sunday's clashes. Here's the latest on the injury front – if you don't see your team here yet, be sure to check back later:
James Sands & Anton Tinnerholm, Alejandro Bedoya, NYCFC at Philadelphia Union
Good news for NYCFC, as defenders James Sands and Anton Tinnerholm are back and expected to be available against the Union. Sands, 19, has been out since mid-August after suffering a broken collarbone. He's made 18 appearances this season in league play.
Tinnerholm has been a fixture at right back this season, but missed the last two games after sustaining a concussion. The 28-year-old has made 29 appearances this season in MLS play, all starts, ranking third on the team in minutes played.
NYCFC have clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference, but the Union will be going for the No. 2 seed on Decision Day. They will be missing midfielder and captain Bedoya, who has a quad strain and is confirmed to be out for the match, with an eye on a likely return for the playoffs.
Favio Alvarez, David Bingham & Romain Alessandrini, LA Galaxy (at Houston Dynamo)
The Galaxy have some mixed news on the injury front ahead of their game in Houston. Alvarez (calf injury) and Bingham (quad strain) are expected back, according to Galaxy writer Adam Serrano, while long-term absence Alessandrini may not yet be ready for a return following a knee injury that's kept him out nearly all of the season.
Brandon Servania, Dominique Badji & Paxton Pomykal, FC Dallas (vs. Sporting KC)
FC Dallas are one of the most under-pressure teams on Decision Day, with a "win and you're in" the playoffs scenario against Sporting KC.
They also have mixed news on the injury front, with Servania (concussion) expected to be available on Sunday, while fellow midfielder Pomykal (lower body) is questionable. Forward Badji, however, is out due to a quad strain.
Nicolas Lodeiro, Victor Rodriguez, Seattle Sounders (vs. Minnesota United)
The Seattle Sounders take on Minnesota United with (likely) the No. 2 seed in the West on the line. But the Sounders, already down Xavier Arreaga and Nouhou Tolo to suspension, could also miss a pair of midfield cogs with Lodeiro (lower back injury) and Rodriguez (internal oblique injury) listed as questionable.
Diego Valeri, Tomas Conechny, Portland Timbers (vs. San Jose Earthquakes)
The most impactful Decision Day game could be without of the league's most impactful players. The Portland Timbers, who sit just one point above the playoff line in sixth place in the West, could miss Valeri, who is listed as questionable with a right lower leg injury. Conechny is questionable with a right knee injury. Also questionable is Julio Cascante (left thigh) and Andres Flores (facial injury), while Brian Fernandez is suspended.
