TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Signings
Nashville SC are gearing up for their jump to MLS, and announced on Friday that four more players from their USL Championship squad will be joining them.
The players who signed are: defenders Ken Tribbett and Taylor Washington, midfielder Matt LaGrassa, and forward Alan Winn.
“We are really proud of Matt, Ken, Taylor and Alan for what they’ve been able to provide during the course of these past two USL Championship seasons, and excited for them to continue their development on this journey into Major League Soccer,” said Nashville SC general manager Mike Jacobs in a team statement.
Tribbett, 27, is probably the most recognizable face to MLS followers. He originally signed for the Philadelphia Union in 2016 and started 19 of his 22 regular-season appearances, plus the Union's lone playoff game that year. He made one appearance for the team in 2017 before having his option declined at the end of the year. A center back who has featured in several other positions for Nashville, Tribbett spent 2018 with Penn FC before joining the Tennessee side for the 2019 USL Championship season.
Washington, 26, was also with the Union in 2016 after being selected 23rd overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, but did not feature for Philadelphia. Playing regularly as a left back, he has been a regular contributor for Nashville over the last two seasons, making 62 appearances (50 starts).
LaGrassa, 26, was one of Nashville's first signings in the USL Championship. A hard-working central midfielder, LaGrassa has been an integral part of Nashville's squad in their past two runs to the playoffs, amassing 65 appearances (56 starts).
Winn, 23, is the youngest of the bunch but already has significant experience in the USL Championship, with 55 appearances (35 starts) over the past two seasons. He has tallied seven goals and four assists in his time with the Boys in Gold. Prior to signing with Nashville, Winn was picked 25th overall by the Colorado Rapids in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
