The Montreal Impact look to get back on track and snap a four-game losing streak when they host the Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia Union Saturday night.
The Impact (9-11-3) are coming off a 2-1 defeat to the Columbus Crew at MAPFRE Stadium last Saturday. After Josh Williams put the hosts in front off a corner kick in the 6th minute, Zakaria Diallo leveled in similar fashion in first-half stoppage time. But newly-acquired David Accam scored just moments after stepping on the field in the 46th minute and the Impact were reduced to 10 men nine minutes later when Bacary Sagna was shown a straight red card for DOGSO.
The Union (11-6-6) rebounded from a 4-0 loss at Real Salt Lake to defeat the Chicago Fire, 2-0, at Talen Energy Stadium last Saturday. Mexican international Marco Fabian opened the scoring in the 11th minute and Homegrown midfielder Anthony Fontana doubled the advantage in the 65th minute with his second MLS goal.
This is the second meeting this season with the Union cruising to a 3-0 victory in Chester April 20. Goals by Cory Burke and Jamiro Monteiro (PK) gave the hosts a comfortable two-goal lead at the half and Alejandro Bedoya put the icing on the cake in the 57th minute.
