With rumors linking Montreal Impact star Nacho Piatti with a move back to Argentina at the end of the season, club president Kevin Gilmore wanted to set the record straight.
He's staying.
Gilmore says that the club have a 2020 contract option for their star, which they'll exercise. He also adds that he has always expected Piatti to be with the club through next season.
Piatti hinted before the season started that this might be his last with the Impact, where he has 66 goals and 34 assists over 129 appearances since 2014. He has been limited to just five appearances this season due to injuries.
