Major League Soccer announced on Wednesday that reinstated FC Cincinnati striker Fanendo Adi has been reinstated. Adi was assessed by Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health (SABH) program doctors and cleared to return to the team.
Adi was stopped for speeding and cited for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (“OVI”) early Sunday morning by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Sunday, March 31. He hadn't appeared in a match since March 14 against the Portland Timbers, where he exited due to injury.
The 28-year-old has yet to score in three matches for FC Cincy this season and is eligible for selection on Saturday night against the New York Red Bulls (7 pm ET | TV & streaming info).
