Peru national team head coach Ricardo Gareca has named his roster for two matches this month, and four MLS players are among the selections.
Seattle Sounders forward Raul Ruidiaz, Orlando City midfielder Yoshi Yotun, Portland Timbers winger Andy Polo and Vancouver Whitecaps attacker Yordy Reyna were called up for upcoming friendlies against Ecuador on November 15 and Costa Rica on November 20.
The friendlies will wrap up game action for 2018 for Los Incas, coming off a monster year for the country in which they returned to the World Cup after a 36-year absence, and won admirers all over the world for their spirited play and enthusiastic fans.
Yotun and Reyna are not involved in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, but both Ruidiaz and Polo are, with their respective teams squaring off in the Western Conference Semifinals, beginning with Sunday's Leg 1 clash at Providence Park (5:30 pm ET | ESPN, TSN5, TVAS2). The semifinal round will be wrapped up by Thursday, so the player whose team advances will not be at risk of missing any Western Conference Championship action following the league's FIFA break.
