Following the passing of Chadwick Boseman on Friday, several MLS players paid homage to the "Black Panther" star upon scoring in MLS matches on Saturday night.
Both Fafa Picault and Jesus Ferreira crossed their arms in the "Wakanda Forever" salute made famous by the 2018 blockbuster after scoring goals a minute apart in the first half for FC Dallas against Minnesota United.
Over at Red Bull Arena, New York City FC's Keaton Parks also did the same after he scored his side's opener in his side's 3-1 victory over Chicago Fire FC.
Sporting KC's Gianluca Busio also paid tribute after his goal on against Colorado on Saturday night:
Boseman is perhaps most remembered for his portrayal of T'Challa (the Black Panther) in what was the first Marvel Superhero movie featuring a Black protagonist. But he had a prolific career that included leading roles in "42" and "Marshall," the respective biopics chronicling the travails of Jackie Robinson, the first Black player in Major League Baseball, and Thurgood Marshall, the nation's first Black Supreme Court Justice.
Boseman died at age 43, after a battle with colon cancer.
