NEW SEASON, NEW LOOK, NEW FEATURES.
It's the essential companion for every MLS fan ahead of the new 2014 season.
The latest version of MLS Matchday, the league's official app, is now available via FREE download for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and Windows 8 tablets. The new-look app features the latest league news, highlights, scores and analysis from MLSsoccer.com, as well as live match streams for MLS LIVE subscribers.
The 2014 version of the app also includes plenty of new features designed to help you stay connected with your favorite teams and content series.
New alert system
You'll notice the first new feature as soon as you open the app: Users have the opportunity to receive alerts about their favorite teams by simply selecting the teams you want to follow, including the USMNT and Canadian national teams. On the next screen, you can turn off the notifications you don't want to receive. Or you can also skip this step at anytime in the process.

Home screen
The new Home screen provides the latest news and videos from MLSsoccer.com. By default, you'll receive news and videos about all 19 MLS clubs plus the United States and Canadian national teams. But you can filter the feeds down to only your favorite teams by selecting the filter icon in the top right part of the screen (see example on right).
Enhanced Schedule & Scores
2014 is a big year for MLS and international soccer, so our schedule now includes all competitions involving MLS clubs and key international matches such as the 2014 World Cup. If you only want to see the upcoming league matches, select the "MLS" or "MLS ONLY" tab. Keep checking this section as we add more matches throughout the year.
We have also added more details: Each match lists the day of the week, national TV information and the competition type (regular season, Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions League, etc).
Expanded news and video sections
Within the app's main menu you'll find the new "News Sections" and "Video Sections" options. These sections let you browse most all MLSsoccer.com articles and videos. Even if you have filters, your Home screen for these sections will display every article or video.
We won't have an app for Fantasy Soccer this season, but you can still use Matchday to help you play the game. Fantasy Soccer managers should check out the expanded Fantasy content in the news and videos sections. You can even set the app to notify you when a new article or video is posted.
Only the beginning ...
This is just the start. We will continue to add new features and connected devices throughout the season. We are also working to bring MLS LIVE to other platforms. Finally, we'll add Orlando City SC and New York City FC to the app later in the season. In the meantime, download the app to explore all the new features.

And if you live outside of North America, you can download the international version of the app. It is the same great app used by fans in the US, Canada, or Mexico, except without the MLS LIVE feature.
