On Thursday, the MLS Disciplinary Committee announced a pair of decisions from Week 28.
From the Sept. 20 game between the Chicago Fire and D.C. United, Fire defender Bakary Soumare was fined and issued a one-game suspension for his tackle that endangered the safety of an opponent (VIDEO). Soumare will miss the Fire's Sept. 28 game against the Houston Dynamo.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has also fined Chivas USA midfielder Leandro Barrera an undisclosed amount for simulation in the 80th minute of the team's game at Toronto FC on Sept. 21 (watch the play).
