Mark-Anthony Kaye exits for Canada with apparent hamstring injury

Midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye pulled up with an apparent right hamstring injury in the fifth minute of the Canada national team's Concacaf Nations League match against the US on Tuesday night.


The LAFC stalwart departed shortly after he tried to run onto Jonathan Osorio's pass, only to stop short and grab at the back of his right leg. Watch it here:

Toronto FC midfielder Liam Fraser came on in the ninth minute to replace Kaye, who has made 31 appearances (27 starts) for the Supporters' Shield winners this season. Canada still managed to push on and beat the USA 2-0


LAFC open the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs nine days from Tuesday when they host the winner of the Round One match between Minnesota United and the LA Galaxy on Oct. 24.
