It snared the Houston Dynamo's first win under interim head coach Wade Barrett, and now it's earned AT&T Goal of the Week honors.
Cristian Maidana's last-gasp free kick curled into the top corner past Andre Blake to break a scoreless deadlock with his old team, the Philadelphia Union, deep in injury time at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday night.
Week 17 GOTW voters subsequently picked it over nominated strikes by some of the league's best scorers, as Maidana's effort outpolled contenders from Kei Kamara, Robbie Keane and NYCFC wunderkind Jack Harrison.
Maidana's victory is his first GOTW nod of the season, and the first for any Dynamo player in 2016.
