Mexico’s stunning upset of the reigning World Cup champions on June 17 stunned the soccer-watching world. And even though that game went down at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, there’s a small chance the crowd might have heard the roar of fans celebrating miles away in Los Angeles.
There, as countless fans of El Tri partied across the city, a particularly festive group gathered at Universal CityWalk, at one of the LA Galaxy’s official World Cup watch parties running through the tournament.
The Galaxy and the team’s fans, of course, watched closely as Mexico – who feature both Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos – progressed through the World Cup.
But through all of the tournament’s dramatic tension and highest highs, Galaxy fans are enjoying the watch-party vibes provided by DJ Vick One, the team’s official DJ. A popular radio personality and tour DJ with the Pharcyde, the L.A. native knows a little about the art of moving butts.
