Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasn't able to find the back of the net against D.C. United on Sunday night, but it wasn't for a lack of trying.
The LA Galaxy striker took 14 shots in the match, the most ever in a MLS game. Former Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco previously held the record, taking 13 shots twice over the course of his illustrious career.
The Galaxy lost 2-1 at Audi Field, with Favio Alvarez providing the lone goal for the visitors. Ibrahimovic finished the night stuck on 16 goals. The most shots he had previously taken in a MLS match was nine.
