The MLS Disciplinary Committee has handed down a suspensions and fines to two players for actions taken during Week 1 of the 2017 season.
Jones tackle on Colman
The Disciplinary Committee has suspended LA Galaxy midfielder Jermaine Jones one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for his tackle in the 17th minute on FC Dallas striker Cristian Colman. According to the Committee, the tackle was serious foul play and endangered the safety of an opponent.
Romney embellishment
The Disciplinary Committee has also suspended Galaxy defender Dave Romney one match and fined him an undisclosed amount for an act of embellishment or simulation in the 52nd minute against FC Dallas.
Both Romney and Jones will serve their suspensions during the Galaxy's next match on Sunday, March 12 against the Portland Timbers (7 pm ET | FS1 in the USA, MLS LIVE in Canada).
