As if beating the Seattle Sounders by a lopsided margin wasn't enough, LA Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo has now earned Week 20's Save of the Week honors.
Penedo took home the award for his impressive denial of Clint Dempsey, a reaction stop that helped the Galaxy keep a cleansheet in their 3-0 triumph at Seattle. The Galaxy veteran earned nearly 38 percent of the vote, edging out FC Dallas goalkeeper Raul Fernandez's 35.38 percent.
Fernandez delivered a similarly stunning stop, getting low to block a shot in FC Dallas' 2-2 draw vs. the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place.
