Gyasi Zardes surprised a young fan on a big stage Tuesday, gifting 7-year-old singing sensation Kai Langer with a customized LA Galaxy jersey, signed ball and a pair of brand new adidas cleats after the first-grader performed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Ellen and young Kai, who has been on the popular daytime show before, chatted for a few minutes before he gave a rendition of The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” which may or may not be age-appropriate. No judging on The Sideline, though. You do you, Kai.

Naturally, Kai and Ellen transitioned into a soccer discussion following his performance, with Kai mentioning that Zardes is his favorite player. That’s when the LA and US national team attacker popped out on stage, hooking a clearly thrilled Kai up with some serious Galaxy swag.
