The LA Galaxy have signed a new deal with one of their Homegrown stars, as they announced on Thursday a multi-year contract extension for Gyasi Zardes.
The move was made using Targeted Allocation Money. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Zardes, 24, has scored 26 goals and 10 assists for the Galaxy signed turning pro in 2013. He helped LA win the 2014 MLS Cup, and is already in the top 10 on the team's all-time scoring charts. Zardes is also a US national team player, having become a regular contributor after debuting in 2015.
LA will begin their 2016 MLS campaign on Sunday against D.C. United (10 pm ET, UniMás).
