After suffering a calf injury in the California Clasico on March 19, Steven Gerrard will miss Saturday's match.
That's the word from LA Galaxy Insider Adam Serrano, who reported on Thursday that Gerrard, who exited the game against the San Jose Earthquakes just minutes after kickoff, won't be available for the upcoming game against the Vancouver Whitecaps (Saturday, 10 pm ET, MLS LIVE in US, TSN2 in Canada).
“We don’t expect Gerrard to play,” Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena said in the report.
Gerrard, 35, had started all three league games so far this season for the Galaxy, chipping in one assist.
