LA Galaxy midfielder Jonathan dos Santos left Wednesday's game against Columbus Crew SC at MAPFRE Stadium after suffering an injury.
The Mexican international, who had played every minute of the Galaxy's 7-2-1 start, reacted painfully after a challenge from Artur and then remained on the grass in the 38th minute. After consulting with LA's athletic training staff, dos Santos walked off the field holding his left leg and was replaced by Servando Carrasco.
The Galaxy saw a seven-game unbeaten streak (6W-0L-1D) come to an end in Sunday's 3-2 loss at the New York Red Bulls. LA will play their third game in seven days on Sunday, hosting New York City FC at 4 pm ET (ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPN app in US, DAZN in Canada).
