Ezequiel Barco's return to MLS play will have to wait a little longer.
The Atlanta United midfielder, who recently returned from the U-20 World Cup, will be out two weeks with a knee injury suffered in the team's U.S. Open Cup victory over Columbus Crew SC, head coach Frank de Boer told media.
Barco, 20, last appeared in an MLS match on May 5, where he bagged a goal and an assist before heading to national-team duty. He led Argentina to the round of 16 at the U-20 World Cup.
This season, he has already equaled his goal tally from 2018 after just eight appearances, with four goals and an assist. He is a member of the 2019 MLS All-Star roster, his second All-Star selection in as many seasons.
