TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
Sporting Kansas City have added goalkeeper depth by signing Kendall McIntosh, the club announced Tuesday.
McIntosh, 26, was previously selected by Sporting KC in Stage 1 of the 2020 Re-Entry Process after spending last season with the New York Red Bulls. McIntosh also spent 2016-19 with the Portland Timbers, though is yet to make an MLS appearance.
McIntosh, a former US youth international, played in one U.S. Open Cup game with Portland during the 2018 campaign. Otherwise, the majority of his professional experience came with their on-pause reserve team, Portland Timbers 2, in the USL Championship.
After placing atop the Western Conference standings in 2020, Sporting also return longtime starting goalkeeper Tim Melia and Homegrown goalkeeper John Pulskamp.
