Kaká will not play in Orlando City’s match against the Houston Dynamo on Friday (8 pm ET; UniMas in the US, MLS LIVE in Canada).
The Brazilian Designated Player was substituted at halftime of Orlando's 4-0 loss to FC Dallas on Monday with a groin strain, and after not training during the week told reporters on Thursday that he won’t available for the match at Camping World Stadium.
The former Ballon D'Or winner did, however, say that he would probably be available for Orlando's following game, at the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday:
Friday’s match will be Orlando’s first since the club fired former head coach Adrian Heath on Wednesday night. The Lions are currently in seventh-place in the Eastern Conference, but would move into a tie with the fourth-place New York Red Bulls with a win against Houston.
Kaká has three goals and five assists in nine regular season appearances this year.
