TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
The Athletic's Paul Tenorio took to Twitter to report on a trade proposal that would allow Jonathan Campbell to move from the Chicago Fire to Seattle Sounders FC. According to Tenorio, the tentative agreement between the teams led to Campbell withdrawing from the MLS Re-Entry Draft which took place earlier this week, though he didn't disclose what the Fire might be getting in return for dealing Campbell to Cascadia.
Campbell, who has played centerback for the Fire for the entirety of his three-year pro career, was a four-year starter at the University of North Carolina before being drafted by the Fire in advance of the 2016 MLS season. Campbell made 15 appearances for Chicago this past season, starting 11 matches and notching an assist.
