The US men's national team will look to avenge a pre-Gold Cup loss to Jamaica and book an 11th appearance in the final when they meet Jamaica at Nissan Stadium in Nashville Wednesday night. The winner faces wither Mexico or Haiti in the final at a sold-out Soldier Field in Chicago Sunday.

The teams have met four times in the Gold Cup, with the USMNT claiming three victories, including a 2-1 win in the 2017 final, with Jordan Morris scoring the winner two minutes from full time after Je-Vaughn Watson canceled out Jozy Altidore's opening goal. The Reggae Boyz' lone win came in the 2015 semifinals, also by a 2-1 scoreline. Darren Mattocks and Giles Barnes scored five minutes apart in the first half before Michael Bradley scored the lone US goal in the second half.

Jamaica reached the semifinals for the third consecutive time, and fifth overall, by beating Panama 1-0 at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday.

Moments after entering the match as a second-half substitute, Mattocks won a debate with teammates over taking a penalty kick after Michael Amir Murillo handled a service in the box. Then the FC Cincinnati forward put away his spot kick clinically in the 75th minute. Despite Panama having more possession and opportunities, Los Canaleros weren't able to solve Andre Blake, who made a pair of saves to earn the clean sheet.

The only negative for Jamaica was that central defender Damion Lowe was booked in the 90th minute for time wasting. He'll be suspended for the semifinals on yellow card accumulation.

Similar to Jamaica, the USMNT had an unconvincing performance, but reached the semifinals courtesy of a 1-0 win over Curacao Sunday night in Philadelphia.

Weston McKennie scored the lone goal, getting on the end of an inch-perfect service by Christian Pulisic and heading past Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room, who made a pair of saves on the night. Curacao threatened a late equalizer, but Zack Steffen was equal to the task, parrying away Leandro Bacuna's attempt in the 84th minute.
