It's all come down to this for Jamaica and Curacao, who can both clinch a berth in the Concacaf Gold Cup quarterfinals when the teams meet in their final Group C match at Banc of California Stadium Tuesday.
The Reggae Boyz would love a repeat of the only previous Gold Cup meeting, a 2-0 victory in the group stage of the 2017 Gold Cup, when Romario Williams and Darren Mattocks scored second-half goals.
Jamaica
Jamaica could have booked their spot with a game left to play in the group stage, but settled for a 0-0 draw with El Salvador at BBVA Stadium Friday night. The first shot on frame didn't occur until the 76th minute when Shaun Francis fired from distance. But Henry Hernandez was equal to the task, lunging up to parry it away.
The Reggae Boyz are level with El Salvador atop the group with four points, but have the edge on goals scored. Curacao is third with three points, while Honduras has been eliminated from advancing after back-to-back defeats.
Curacao
After a disappointing 1-0 loss to El Salvador to open Group C, Curacao made a big push at reaching the knockout stage with a 1-0 victory over Honduras at BBVA Stadium Friday night.
Goalkeeper Eloy Room was sensational, making 13 saves to stymie the Honduran onslaught, while Leandro Bacuna scored Curacao's historic first Gold Cup goal to seal their first Gold Cup win, stepping back to latch onto Gevaro Nepomuceno's service and putting slotting a low shot into the net from 14 yards out.
