A week after being denied the Save of the Week award by less than a percentage point, New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles came back and refused to be denied a second time.
Robles earned Week 28's Save of the Week award for his jaw-dropping double-save in the New York Red Bulls' 4-1 thumping of the Seattle Sounders this past Saturday. The veteran goalkeeper won by a landslide, taking more than 61 percent of the vote for his stops on Marco Pappa and Clint Dempsey.
The Red Bulls' No. 1 first blocked a shot from Pappa and then proceeded to somehow incredibly react to swat away a potent point-blank header from Dempsey on the follow-up.
The award was Robles' first of the 2014 campaign.
