Vancouver Whitecaps FC made a lot of changes to their roster for the 2019 season, but one of the most intriguing additions grabbed his first goal in MLS on Wednesday.
Midfielder Inbeom Hwang opened the scoring for the Whitecaps in the 27th minute against LAFC at BC Place. After PC's shot went off the post, Hwang buried the rebound with a nice left-footed sidewinder finish.
The 22-year-old, a highly-touted full South Korean international who has been the subject of European transfer interest, has been one of Vancouver's best players this year under Marc Dos Santos, as the team looks to see results from the offseason rebuild.
That goal ended up standing up in the match, too, as Vancouver emerged 1-0 winners, the Whitecaps picking up their first win of the season and LAFC their first loss of the campaign.
