Zlatan Ibrahimovic offered a seasoned perspective on Alphonso Davies after his LA Galaxy defeated Davies' Vancouver Whitecaps3-0 on Saturday night, urging the Canadian teenage phenom to seize his opportunity when he makes his move to German giants Bayern Munich at the conclusion of the MLS season.
"A club like Bayern, he will learn a lot. If they saw something, they saw something big, because they don't get anyone just like that," said the Swedish legend of the dynamic young winger half his age. "I just hope he's ready when he comes there, because when he comes there he will be lonely and the competition will be big. So he needs to be mentally strong and when he sees the big players, not to show too respect. You go there for a reason."
A superstar performer at several of the biggest clubs in Europe over his glittering career, Ibrahimovic bagged his 19th and 20th goals of the 2018 campaign in his man-of-the-match outing vs. the 'Caps. His full postgame media availability can be seen here.
