It's the biggest showdown between Canada and the US men's national team in years as the neighboring nations square off in Concacaf Nations League A action Tuesday night at BMO Field.
Canada sit atop Group A following a pair of victories over Cuba last month, including a 6-0 triumph at BMO. The USMNT opened Nations League play Friday with a 7-0 victory over Cuba at Audi Field. Weston McKennie scored the fastest hat trick from the opening kickoff in program history with three goals in the first 13 minutes. Jordan Morris had a goal and three assists and Josh Sargent and Christian Pulisic scored one goal apiece.
The winner of the three-team group advances to the Nations League semifinals and the top two finishers clinch berths in the 2021 Gold Cup.
The USMNT own a 16-9-10 all-time record against Canada and are unbeaten in their last 17 games. Canada's last win, 2-0 in an international friendly, came in 1985.
