The Houston Dynamo announced on Wednesday that defender DaMarcus Beasley underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The procedure will keep the veteran out an estimated 4-6 weeks.
Beasley, 36, has played in Concacaf Champions League this spring for the Dynamo, scoring the winning goal in the Round of 16 away leg, but had yet to feature for Houston in league play through three games. Adam Lundkvist has played in his place and is likely to remain the starter at left back while Beasley recovers.
