TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
The Houston Dynamo have signed their top SuperDraft selection Sam Junqua, the club announced Tuesday. The Dynamo took Junqua No. 8 overall.
Junqua, 22, appeared 68 games with 45 starts at the University of California, Berkeley. The fullback earned an All-Pac-12 Conference honorable mention last season. He was the second defender drafted this year and the first fullback.
Junqua figures to slot in as a depth piece and should see some time in the USL Championship with RGV FC, as ageless DaMarcus Beasley re-signed with the Dynamo earlier this offseason.
