As a soccer-mad youth in Hawthorne, California, LA Galaxy forward Gyasi Zardes was chased off the tennis courts at Memorial Park so frequently the city placed a "No Soccer" sign nearby. Last month, Zardes was on hand to symbolically lift the ban. Zardes has given plenty to his hometown, and Hawthorne’s given plenty back.
