Two of Ireland's leading exports got together in Los Angeles on Monday, and they let Steven Gerrard hang around a bit, too.
Robbie Keane stopped by U2's rehearsal on Monday with his fellow LA Galaxy star in tow, paying the iconic band a visit a week after the quartet from Dublin marked their 40th anniversary together.
“Great to watch the lads rehearse. What an experience,” exclaimed Keane in an Instagram post featuring a photo with his countrymen. “#proudtobeirish together.”
Gerrard, whose famous Liverpool FC exploits make him a popular figure among the Reds' legions of Irish supporters, called the occasion an “incredible experience.”
U2 netted well over $100 million in ticket sales with last year's Innocence + Experience world tour and are working on a new studio album.
