It may have taken until Week 34, but at long last, a Colorado Rapids player has won the MLS Player of the Week award.
Gabriel Torres was named the MLS Player of the Week for the penultimate week of the 2013 regular season on Monday for his two-goal performance in the Rapids' 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday.
Torres' brace included a wonderful winnner that came off his left foot and found the top corner when the game was even at two apiece. (See how the North American Soccer Reporters voted here.)
