Four MLSers called into Peru squad to face USMNT

Ahead of matches against Chile and the United States in October, Peru manager Ricardo Gareca has called four MLS players into his team.


Seattle'sRaul Ruidiaz, Portland'sAndy Polo, Vancouver'sYordy Reyna and Orlando'sYoshi Yotun have gotten the call for international duty.

Of the four, Yotun has featured for Peru most, with 75 caps. Ruidiaz will look to add to his four goals in 31 caps while Polo, the youngest of the quartet, has featured 17 times for his country. Reyna has played for Peru six times, scoring two goals.


Yotun, a 2018 MLS All-Star, featured for Peru at the World Cup as did Ruidiaz. Polo made the team, though didn't get any minutes, while Reyna missed out on the squad.


Peru play the USMNT in East Hartford, Connecticut on Oct. 16 at 7:30 pm ET.
