The Paraguayan national team is set to feature some young attacking talent already on display in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs.
La Albirroja manager Juan Carlos Osorio has selected Atlanta United midfielders Miguel Almiron and Hector Villalba, New York Red Bulls midfielder Kaku and Portland Timbers midfielder Cristhian Paredes as part of his 24-player roster for a Nov. 20 friendly against South Africa in Durban.
All four players are 24 years old or younger. Almiron boasts the most experience with his national team, with 13 appearances since his senior team debut in 2015.
Kaku debuted for Paraguay earlier this year after successfully making a one-time switch from Argentina. Similarly, this is Villalba's first year eligible since he switched from Argentina to Paraguay.
Paredes, the youngest of the quartet at 20 years old, earned his first cap in 2017.
The teams of all four players have reached the Conference Championships of the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, which resume Nov. 25.
