Former New York Red Bulls star Tyler Adams praises fellow Homegrown standout Caden Clark

Caden Clark - New York Red Bulls - hands raised

From one New York Red Bulls Homegrown product to another, Tyler Adams says he's been as impressed as anybody with the rise of Caden Clark.

Clark burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old late this season, scoring a pair of highlight-reel goals in just 280 minutes and adding another in RBNY's Round One defeat to Columbus Crew SC in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs, leaving a huge impression as to his future potential.

Adams, who started his career with the Red Bulls and is currently plying his trade with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, has been watching from afar and in an interview with TransferMarkt.us, said he's enjoyed keeping tabs as Clark tries to follow in his footsteps.

Adams said he met Clark and his family while they were visiting Leipzig and he sees a player who brings more to the table than just scoring goals when he watches him play.

"He's a quality player, and we have the same agent," Adams said. "He visited Leipzig when I was here, so I was able to meet him and his family. Now with him playing almost consistently at Red Bull at the end of the year, I was able to catch a few games; he's obviously scored amazing goals, but you know beyond just the goals, he's a quality player. He seems like a creative player; he always has ideas he's, you know, very far ahead for a 17-year-old. He looks like he's grown and developed in just these few games in the MLS, so I'm excited to see what he's capable of next year."
