The Montreal Impact signed former Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic three weeks ago hoping to bolster their attack for the stretch run. Saturday -- in just his second start with the club, the Canadian Classique at BMO Field -- Bojan delivered his first goal, hitting a stunning 25-yard shot by the outstretched arms of Toronto goalkeeper Quentin Westberg to make it 1-0.
The 28-year-old Spaniard arrived in Montreal on August 7 after departing Stoke City. After starting his career at Barcelona, he has also had spells with Roma, Milan and Ajax, among other clubs.
