After picking up a low-grade quad strain at US men's national team January camp, Greg Garza has returned to FC Cincinnati to undergo treatment. The team did not provide a timeline for his return.
Garza, 27, last featured for the national team two years ago, against Serbia during the 2017 January camp. He was acquired by FC Cincy this offseason from MLS Cup champions Atlanta United.
Daniel Lovitz is now the lone natural left back on the January roster, though Nick Lima can also slot in on the left. The US face Panama on Sunday, Jan. 27 (8 pm ET | ESPN2, UniMás, UDN) then Costa Rica on Saturday, Feb. 2 (3:30 pm ET | FOX, UniMás, UDN).
